Need additional funds for your education? The Yellow Ribbon Program is available to fund tuition expenses exceeding the thresholds you are entitled to under the Post-9/11 GI Bill provisions. While this program is not available at most international institutions, it is available this academic year at many overseas campus locations of U.S.-based schools.
This is how it works. Degree-granting institutions voluntarily enter into an agreement with the government to cover the expense overages, up to a predetermined amount, on a year-to-year and student-to-student basis. These additional funds are contributed by the university, and the VA then matches those funds, reducing or eliminating the need to supplement the costs of your educational career. It is important to note that the amounts and eligibility may change year to year, and students must apply and be approved to receive available funds.
