Take enough clothes for two-three days. You can buy more hen you get there. They sell clothes abroad too!
Money belt. You can put it around your neck or your waist,
but either way you need it. Your passport is your most important asset abroad and losing it is a big hassle. Also, pack emergency cash and vital documents in your money belt.

A good backpack without wheels. All those fancy backpacks with wheels are useless on cobblestone streets.
And you will probably pack less.
Tablet. This is the one thing to indulge in, just because the maps will show you the way and so many travel guides are now online to help you out with your journey.
Smartphone? We don't have pay phones so neither do
other countries

Lots of Stickers. The quirkier the better - a local truck station is a great place to find bumper stickers. You can give them to friends you meet. Kids love them. And they are great conversation starters.
