Attaining a degree in another country takes an independent, adventurous type of person. You may think that you are the only one taking on this life changing experience, but there are actually 65,000+ Americans working on their degree abroad right now, according to a survey by IIE.org.
Luckily, international offices offer the tools to help you find housing on or nearby campus. Your community abroad will be very similar to the international student population on your own campus. Like students will be placed in similar housing arrangements, and resource offices and social gathering places like an International House will be close for you to take advantage of. Want to know what it will feel like when you get there? Take a stroll to the International House on your own campus and mingle. It's a great first step to get you closer to doing the same, only in Mainland Europe!
